2013 Meetings and events
CVMC meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. The location of meetings is established by CVMC volunteers and changes to a different restaurant each month.
Members gather at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a meal and social time, which is followed by a discussion of club business and the opportunity to share news about our cars or other information of interest to club members.
Rallies are held throughout the year and provide opportunities to enjoy a group Miata drive through the beautiful Virginia countryside. Although the schedule varies, rallies are generally held on the third Saturday of each month, weather permitting.

They will also open up a couple bays with lifts and provide a mechanic to talk to us about maintenance items we can do ourselves and when to make the decision to get professional help. It would be great if members would bring cars of varying models and ages, so that we can hoist them up and learn about the differences and any specific maintenance recommendations.

Rally: April 20 - South of the James - Castles and Plantations
We will meet at the Hardees in Hopewell, VA
Hardees
310 W. Randolph Road
Hopewell, VA 23860
This is a nice little rally from Hopewell to Smith's Fort Plantation to Bacon's Castle to the Virginia Diner in Wakefield and back to Hopewell via Disputanta and Prince George. Each leg is about 20 miles. It should really be a treat. Both Smith's Plantation and Bacon's Castle are true national historical and architectural treasures. We will experience a few nice curves on a safe and smooth highway covering about 90 miles, see several picturesque small towns, and skirt the James River. The Virginia Diner is delightful, and has given us a special buffet price of under $12, including soft drinks.
We will leave Hardee's on Rte. 10 in downtown Hopewell at 9:30 and our reservation at the diner is for 12:30. Our first stop will be for restrooms and gas at the CITGO station in Surry, near Smith's Plantation, followed by Bacon's Castle 10 miles further, then 20 miles to the Virginia Diner in Wakefield. After lunch, we'll disperse and those who wish can jump on either I-295 or I-95 20 and 25 miles west of Wakefield on 460.
