2018 Meetings and Events

CVMC meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. The location of meetings is established by CVMC volunteers and changes to a different restaurant each month.

Members gather at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a meal and social time, which is followed by a discussion of club business and the opportunity to share news about our cars or other information of interest to club members.

Rallies are held throughout the year and provide opportunities to enjoy a group Miata drive through the beautiful Virginia countryside. Although the schedule varies, rallies are generally held on the third Saturday of each month, weather permitting.

Rally: May 19 - Rally CANCELLED

SORRY... BUT BOTH THE RALLY AND THE LUNCH AT UPPER SHIRLEY VINEYARD ARE CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN, FLOODING AND DOWNED TREES ON ROUTE 5!

We drove the route Friday afternoon and the water was very high in places on Route 5 and elsewhere. Friday evening VDOT reported that route 5 is closed that night due to flooding and downed trees.

It just isn't safe out there folks. So, stay high and dry this weekend and be careful if you have to be out on the roads!

Rally: June 23 - Rally to the Deltaville Maritime Museum

Hope you can join us for the rally to the Deltaville Maritime Museum!

We'll meet at 8:45 AM and depart at 9:00 AM.

Meeting Point:
Sentara Therapy Center
2500 New Kent Highway
Quinton, VA

(Take the Bottoms Bridge Exit 205 off Interstate 64, turn left at the light onto Route 249 East)

We will meander through the countryside with our final destination around 11:30 AM or so at the Deltaville Maritime Museum. In addition to the museum itself (which has free admission on that day), there will be a Farmer's Market until 1 PM. You may view the F. D. Crockett, a buy boat built in 1924, which is situated on the premises on Jackson Creek. It has been named to the Virginia Landmarks Register and is also on the National Register of Historic Places. Don't miss the sculpture garden.

We will picnic at the museum - please bring a sling chair (we will also have some chairs and tables available). You may bring your lunch with you (alcohol is permitted on the premises) or you may purchase a box lunch from The Table at Wilton for $12.00 plus tax. Here's The Table Menu. Please call The Table at Wilton at 804-776-9555 by June 16 to put in your order - it must also be paid for ahead of time.

We plan to have one person pick-up all of the box lunches on the way in to the Maritime Museum. We will have a cooler of water and soft drinks.

Following the picnic there will be time to wander around before the music in the evening - or come by Anne's home at 205 Berryville Shores Drive in Deltaville to relax on the patio "at the rivah".

Groovin' in the Park (Deltaville's music scene) will feature Clayton Neal at 5 PM, followed by The Dixie Trio from 6 to 8 PM.
We have met Clayton Neal - he is quite good, and The Dixie Trio should prove to be quite good as well. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door - if you would like tickets to the concert we will be happy to purchase them ahead of time (you can reimburse us that night) - If you are undecided you can always purchase the tickets on that day at Nauti Nell's gift shop for $10.00 each.

For those of you wishing to stay for the music, we should set up around 4:30 PM. We will provide a picnic supper for everyone - please let us know by June 16 if you will be staying for the music so we will know how many people to feed and also if you would like for us to purchase concert tickets for you (by e-mail to annescorner@hotmail.com or call Anne at 804-690-6568).

We are expecting to have a fun day!
